One of the biggest reasons people put off a hair transplant isn't the procedure itself, it's the aftermath. A shaved head that announces to everyone at work, at home, and in social situations that something was done. For a lot of people, that kind of visibility isn't acceptable. Unshaven FUE removes that barrier entirely. UFUE is an advanced variation of standard FUE where the donor area hair stays long throughout. Only the specific strands selected for extraction are trimmed; everything else remains untouched. No shaved head before surgery. No obvious recovery period after. One important limitation: UFUE isn't ideal for patients who need very high graft counts in a single session. Full-shave FUE allows more efficient extraction at scale if coverage needs are significant, that conversation happens at consultation.
